Module 1: Fundamentals of First Aid
- Introduction to first aid: Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
- Assessing the situation: Safety, hazards, and personal protection
- Primary survey and basic life support (BLS)
- Case Study 1: Reviewing a workplace incident requiring first aid intervention
- Hands-On Exercise 1: Practicing the primary survey and recovery position on a partner.
Module 2: Emergency Response for Injuries and Medical Conditions
- Treating common injuries: bleeding, burns, fractures, and sprains
- Responding to medical emergencies: choking, asthma, seizures, and heart attacks
- Safe handling and transportation of injured persons
- Case Study 2: Analysis of a case where first aid played a critical role in saving lives
- Hands-On Exercise 2: Simulating first aid procedures for injuries such as cuts, burns, and fractures.
Module 3: Fire Safety Basics and Fire Marshal Roles
- Understanding fire science: Fire triangle and types of fires
- Introduction to the role of a Fire Marshal
- Identifying and assessing fire hazards in the workplace
- Case Study 3: Examining a fire incident in a workplace and how it was managed
- Hands-On Exercise 3: Conducting a fire hazard assessment of a designated area.
Module 4: Firefighting Techniques and Equipment
- Overview of firefighting equipment: extinguishers, hoses, blankets, and alarms
- Understanding fire classifications and choosing the correct extinguisher
- Practical use of firefighting equipment and techniques for controlling fires
- Case Study 4: Reviewing a case of effective fire containment in a facility using the right equipment
- Hands-On Exercise 4: Practicing the use of different types of fire extinguishers on controlled fires.
Module 5: Fire Evacuation and Emergency Preparedness
- Planning and conducting fire drills: procedures and communication
- Evacuation protocols: Ensuring safety and preventing panic

- Case Study 5: Learning from a real-life evacuation scenario and best practices
- Hands-On Exercise 5: Designing and executing a fire drill simulation, including evacuation procedures and role-playing as a Fire Marshal.

Methodology
These instructor-led training sessions are delivered using a blended learning approach and include presentations, guided practical exercises, web-based tutorials, and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience as professionals and trainers in these fields. All facilitation and course materials are offered in English. Participants should be reasonably proficient in the language.
Accreditation
Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued an Indepth Research Institute (IRES) certificate certified by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA).
Training Venue
The training will be held at IRES Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments, and lunch. All participants will additionally cater to their travel expenses, visa application, insurance, and other personal expenses.
