Islamic Relief Worldwide, a prominent humanitarian organization, sought to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of its relief distribution across Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia. With a goal to support 50 million beneficiaries, the organization required a robust system to monitor and evaluate their distribution efforts. They partnered with Indepth Research Institute (IRES) to develop a web-based E-Beneficiary Management System. This innovative platform was designed to streamline the monitoring and evaluation of relief distribution, ensuring that aid reached those who needed it most efficiently.Key Outputs. Functional System Hosted Online: The new system was successfully developed and hosted online, providing real-time access to beneficiary data and distribution metrics. System Documentation: Comprehensive documentation was provided, detailing the system architecture, functionalities, and technical specifications. User’s Manual: A user-friendly manual was created to guide staff through the system's features, ensuring seamless adoption and utilization. Source Code: The source code was delivered, allowing for future modifications and improvements tailored to the organization's evolving needs. The implementation of the E-Beneficiary Management System revolutionized the way Islamic Relief Worldwide managed and monitored its relief distribution. By centralizing data and providing real-time insights, the system significantly improved operational efficiency, transparency, and accountability. As a result, Islamic Relief was able to better serve 50 million beneficiaries across Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, and Ethiopia, ensuring aid reached the right people at the right time.
